Caught up on the last five episodes of OUAT (refused to watch after “Welcome to Storybrooke” unless shit got better for my girl Regina by the season finale.  I’d say making sex magic with Emma counts.) Exhausted current fan fiction  obsessions. Finished trawling through tumblr. What do I do with my life when I come down from a fandom high again? Oh, wait.  Move on to the next...

In my dream last night, I stumbled out of the Wolfhound Tavern with the girl I’ve been pining after.  We flopped down on Haeundae beach, talked about feelings or whatever, and then kissed for a bit. This morning, I hop on fbook to find she’s in a relationship. Next logical step?  Fling myself into bed and watch Mulan in despair. I’m definitely on top of my game, you guys.

How ‘Slut Shaming’ Has Been Written Into School... →
rapeculturerealities: bigshittyatheist: commie-femme: Last month, a New Jersey middle school banned girls from wearing strapless dresses to prom. Administrators claimed that the dresses were “distracting” — though they refused to specify exactly how or why. Parents reacted strongly to the rule; some supported the dress code while others deemed it “slut-shaming.” On Friday, the...

feminspire: When we think about it, what are the practical reasons to count one’s sexual partners? None. There are no reasons. Your sex life is yours for a reason; it does not have to be divulged or counted or calculated on a scale of virgin-to-’slut’.

Un-Memorizing the "Silence is Sexy" Date Script →
We’ve gotten the idea from movies and magazines that silence is sexy.  Ultimate romance means fireworks and fairy dust sprinkling down from the heavens and instilling in us some magical intuition where both people suddenly just know what the other wants.  Speaking out loud in full sentences would break the rhythm, ruining the mystical thrill of the spontaneous moment.  And GOD FORBID you ask...

Quoted from New York’s David Edelstein: “Obviously we face real threats, as individuals and a country.  But to walk around waiting—and dreaming—of the assault (on our women, our homes, our flag) that will allow us to pull out our weapons and start blasting seems…maladaptive.” I was talking to another foreign English teacher a couple of weeks ago about the...
